For more than 16 years, the operating room has been my office.
I got my start in the medical device industry at 22 years old, and I've been fortunate enough to build a career doing what I genuinely love—working shoulder-to-shoulder with surgeons, physicians, nurses, technologists, and healthcare teams during some of the most critical moments in patient care. I've seen this industry from both sides, serving as a distributor principal and as a direct manufacturer representative for multiple leading medical technology companies.
Over the years, I've supported more than 8,000 surgical and interventional procedures, worked alongside 500+ physicians and providers, and experienced just about every type of operating room environment imaginable. From routine procedures to the most challenging and unpredictable cases, I've learned that preparation, composure, teamwork, and relentless attention to detail are what separate good from great.
I've also had the privilege of building and leading high-performing teams, mentoring new representatives, and helping develop professionals who went on to build successful careers of their own. Leadership in this business isn't about having the loudest voice—it's about earning trust, staying prepared, and setting the standard every single day.
Throughout my career, I've been trusted to support thousands of procedures where there is no room for shortcuts or distractions. That mindset has allowed me to identify and speak up before 33 potential wrong-site surgeries could proceed. Those moments weren't about being a hero—they were about staying focused, following the process, and never being afraid to respectfully raise a concern when something didn't look right. Thankfully, during my career, I've never experienced a wrong-site surgery while covering a case, and that's something I never take for granted.
Professionally, I had the honor of leading the highest-producing medical device sales territory in the United States for nine consecutive years with one organization. While I'm proud of the numbers, what means the most to me are the relationships built with physicians, hospitals, and healthcare professionals over the last decade and a half. Those relationships were earned through consistency, integrity, hard work, and always putting the patient first.
After spending more than 16 years in operating rooms, one realization kept coming back to me: patients are often making life-changing medical decisions without ever having the opportunity to speak with someone who has actually spent thousands of hours watching these procedures happen.
That's why I founded RepPreference.
RepPreference was created to give patients access to experienced, verified medical device professionals who have dedicated their careers to supporting the procedures patients are considering. We're not here to replace physicians or provide medical advice. We're here to provide another layer of education, practical insight, and real-world perspective from professionals who have spent years inside the operating room.
I believe informed patients make better decisions. When people understand their options, know what questions to ask, and feel confident going into surgery, everyone benefits.
Our mission is simple: empower patients through knowledge, experience, and honest conversations—one consultation at a time.
